ROBOTICS FOR HOSPITALS AND PRIMARY CARE CENTRES
Innovation to improve remote monitoring and care at the centre
- Integration with monitoring devices
- Technical support
- Rapid implementation to optimise adoption
Prevent complications and respond on time to any emergency
From the patient’s home, SOM Care becomes an ally for health monitoring, chronic patient follow-up and telecare.
By integrating with different health devices –such as thermometers, pulse oximeters, blood pressure monitors, scales, smartwatches with fall detection and emergency buttons– SOM Care makes it possible to centralise all patient monitoring on a single platform, remotely.
Hence, healthcare professionals can monitor the patient’s health status and determine if urgent assistance is needed remotely, thus preventing health complications and the overcrowding of hospitals, clinics and primary care centres.
SOM Care makes it easier and more efficient to follow up and monitor patients in their homes
Because it frees up time that would be spent on face-to-face visits, as healthcare professionals can remotely monitor and track medication intake and health indicators of older people or those with chronic conditions living at home.
Because it allows for more efficient monitoring of people’s health by centralising all data in a single hub where each patient’s information can be viewed.
Because it enables immediate emergency care.
SOM Care is already being used at hospitals, clinics and primary care centres
600 Temi robots in private homes in Barcelona
In Europe’s largest social robotics project, the Barcelona City Council is working to improve the quality of life of the city’s older people by complementing home care with advanced telecare through SOM Care.
Digital monitoring of medication intake
Through a project promoted by IDAPA and i2CAT, the CAP La Seu d’Urgell primary care centre is optimising the remote monitoring of medication intake for older people living at home by enabling the area’s healthcare professionals to monitor intake in real time.
Suara Cooperativa care homes
SomCare social robots are a tool to support staff when accompanying and caring for the older people at the Colonia Güell care home in Santa Coloma de Cervelló (Baix Llobregat) and the Torreblanca care home in Sant Joan de las Fuentes (La Garrotxa), both of which are part of the Suara Cooperativa network.
