When integrated with SOM Care, the Maia device comes to life as a social care and healthcare hub at home
Maia becomes a hub for health, entertainment, communication and peace of mind for older people and their caregivers or healthcare professionals.
The SOM Care platform is the feature that enables remote monitoring and access to content, news, radio, television and more.
Carmen is 83 years old. She is a widow and lives alone. She has a daughter, María, who lives an hour away, and a son, Marc, who lives abroad. Both coordinate with professional caregivers who help their mother with her personal care and daily activities. With SOM Care, this coordination is easier, as everyone can access her health status from their computers and mobile phones and contact her with just one click.
Carmen, in turn, feels safer and better connected to her loved ones. This is what a typical day in her life with MAIA is like:
The healthcare professional accesses the SOM Care platform to monitor changes in the health status of Carmen and other chronic patients.
Her caregiver accesses the CareGiver app to check Carmen's parameters and answers for the day and to schedule a video call for the next day.
The Maia device is already transforming care for older people
